OANA CLITAN

Future news, official screens, 2019

Oana Clitan takes a shot at how information might be presented in the future. For this she uses the rhetoric of news broadcasts from the past and present.

The installation assumes a scenario in which the decay of electronic equipment makes it temporarily impossible to produce new images. In this world, limited available archival material is the only medium through which anything can still be visually expressed. The government uses these scarce preserved images to inform its citizens about the latest developments in the crisis.
