Saturday 11-09 // 12.00 – 17.00
Sunday 12-09 // 12.00 – 17.00
You will work in teams
Location: WARP (Stationsplein 1A, Enschede) or online through ZOOM

Keywords: Digital Humans, Volumetric Reconstruction, Personas, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Graphics

Software mainly used: Maya / Houdini / Blender

NOTE: For Univeristy of Twente (CreaTE) students this workshop is free of charge. For other participants a valid ticket for the GOGBOT Festival is needed; workshops are free for festival attendees only.

In this workshop, the Current Team will discuss what is a new way of representing self-Personas in an increasingly digitized media environment. In particular, their volumetric reconstruction and how these can be synthesized with the use of neural networks.

During this workshop you will develop a critical reflection on the question of how we can reclaim the right to a commons of the real: instead of rejecting the tools that complicate our understanding of reality or the real, how can we push them further? How can we use them to extract more information to enrich our complex experience of reality?

More about this workshop:

Working with the constraint of existing proprietary software, a pipeline will be introduced to participants with data flow from machine learning to CG modeling interfaces.

This workshop invites participants to imagine alternative personas for digital diversity and inclusivity. Through both technical and interactive means, this workshop empowers participants with knowledge of open-source digital tools that are the most current and ready-at-hand.
